Foundation confined space qualification for operators entering enclosed or partially enclosed spaces to carry out work or inspections.
National Units of Competency
Codes verifiable on the national training.gov.au register.
Application and relevance
Suits operational roles undertaking work inside confined spaces such as tanks, vessels, pits and enclosed plant.
Not recommended for standby/observers — additional responsibilities are covered in the 3-day Rescue/Standby course.
Course details
- Duration
- 1 day (8 hours), 7:00am – 3:00pm.
- Class size
- Maximum 10 students per class.
- Prerequisites
- No prerequisites.
- Equipment
- All training materials and PPE supplied by Zokal Safety Training.
- Assessment
- Continuous assessment across theory and practical components. Written knowledge questions plus supervised practical demonstration against the national performance criteria.
- Recognition
- Nationally recognised Statement of Attainment issued under RTO 91267 on successful completion.
