Course details
- Duration
- 2 days (8 hours per day), 7:00am – 3:00pm.
- Class size
- Maximum 12 students per class.
- Prerequisites
- No formal prerequisites. Learners must be physically capable of the practical tasks and provide photo ID and USI on the day.
- Equipment
- All training materials and PPE supplied by Zokal Safety Training.
- Assessment
- Continuous assessment across theory and practical components. Written knowledge questions plus supervised practical demonstration against the national performance criteria.
- Recognition
- Nationally recognised Statement of Attainment issued under RTO 91267 on successful completion.

- Conduct atmospheric testing with electronic gas detectors
- Operate breathing apparatus in confined space environments
- Set up self-rescue and fall-arrest equipment
- Work in accordance with a confined space entry permit
