For personnel required to work on towers or similar structures. Physical two-day course covering height access and tower rescue.

Application and relevance
For tower riggers, telco climbers and utility crews who may be first on scene to a fallen or suspended colleague.
Covers safe access plus rescue as a workplace emergency procedure.
Course details
- Duration
- 2 days (8 hours per day).
- Class size
- Maximum 8 students per class.
- Prerequisites
- Physical fitness to perform tower access and rescue tasks.
- Equipment
- All training materials and PPE supplied by Zokal Safety Training. Includes tower rescue kit, harnesses and lowering systems.
- Assessment
- Continuous assessment across theory and practical components. Written knowledge questions plus supervised practical demonstration against the national performance criteria.
- Recognition
- Nationally recognised Statement of Attainment issued under RTO 91267 on successful completion.
Learning outcomes
- Access towers safely using industrial fall-arrest systems
- Set up a tower rescue lowering system
- Perform a controlled descent of a casualty
- Deliver CPR at height where required
