Fees and Payments
Clear Course Pricing with No Unexpected Training Fees
Before booking safety training, you should know exactly what the course will cost and what your payment covers.
What's Included
Zokal Training publishes the applicable fee on each course page and uses an all-inclusive pricing model. This means the advertised course fee includes the tuition, standard course materials, administration and certification associated with successfully completing the training. There are no additional Zokal training charges added during the course unless you request a separate service that is not included in the original booking.
Find your course to see current pricing, available dates and booking information.
View Course FeesWhat Is Included in Your Course Fee?
Unless a course page clearly states otherwise, your Zokal course fee includes:
- Training delivered by an appropriately qualified trainer and assessor
- The scheduled training and assessment activities
- Standard learning and assessment materials
- Course administration
- Two reassessment attempts per unit, where required
- Your original digital Statement of Attainment or qualification following successful completion
- A Statement of Attainment for individual units successfully completed if you do not complete the entire course
The course page should be reviewed before booking because it contains the specific price, duration, delivery arrangements and requirements for your selected training.
When Do I Need to Pay?
For courses costing less than $1,500, the full course fee is generally payable before attendance.
Payment confirms your booking and secures your place in the scheduled class. A place may not be treated as confirmed until the required payment or approved company purchase order has been received. Any payment deadline or booking requirement applying to your course will be shown during the booking process or provided in your booking confirmation.
Individual and public course bookings
Payment in full is required to confirm an individual place in a public course.
Employer and group bookings
For company or group enrolments, Zokal requires either:
- Payment in full; or
- An accepted purchase order.
Employers arranging training for several workers should contact the Zokal Training team to discuss group bookings, invoicing requirements and available delivery options.
Protection of Prepaid Course Fees
Zokal Training will not collect more than $1,500 from an individual student before the course commences.
Where a course costs more than $1,500, the amount collected before commencement will be limited in accordance with Zokal's fee-protection obligations. The remaining balance and payment schedule will be explained as part of the enrolment or booking process. This requirement helps protect students who pay course fees in advance.
Are There Any Additional Charges?
Zokal's advertised course fees are all-inclusive for the duration of the booked training. The fee shown for your course includes:
- Tuition
- Standard learning materials
- Assessment
- Administration
- Original certification following successful completion
You should not be asked to pay an additional fee simply to receive your original certificate or Statement of Attainment.
Separate charges may apply where you request an optional service outside the original course booking, such as a replacement copy of previously issued certification. Any applicable charge should be confirmed before that service is provided.
Certification Is Included
Students who are assessed as competent will receive the relevant certification for the units successfully completed. The cost of your original certification is included in the course fee. Depending on the training product and your result, this may be:
- A Statement of Attainment
- A qualification and accompanying record of results
- A Statement of Attainment listing only the units you successfully completed
Zokal aims to issue Australian Qualifications Framework certification documentation within 30 calendar days after you have:
- Successfully completed the required training and assessment
- Been assessed as competent
- Supplied a valid and verified Unique Student Identifier, where required
- Met any outstanding administrative requirements
- Paid all applicable course fees
Payment alone does not guarantee certification. You must successfully meet the requirements of the relevant unit or qualification.
Reassessment Costs
Your course fee includes up to two reassessment attempts per unit. A reassessment may be required when an assessment does not yet demonstrate all the skills or knowledge required for competency. Your trainer will explain:
- Which part of the assessment needs to be completed again
- What further evidence is required
- How and when the reassessment will occur
- What learning support may help you prepare
Speak with your trainer promptly when you receive a "Not Yet Competent" result so you understand the next steps and available support.
What Happens If I Do Not Complete the Full Course?
When you successfully complete some units but not the entire course, Zokal may issue a Statement of Attainment for the units in which you have been assessed as competent. If you commence training but choose not to complete the course, a refund is not normally payable under the conditions set out in the Student Handbook. The outcome will depend on:
- The units you completed
- The assessment evidence submitted
- Whether competency was achieved
- Your payment status
- The reason the course was not completed
Employer-Paid Training
Your employer may pay for your training or arrange the booking on your behalf. For employer-sponsored bookings:
- The employer may provide payment or an approved purchase order
- The booking remains subject to Zokal's payment and cancellation conditions
- The individual learner must still complete the required enrolment information
- The learner must meet all entry, identification and assessment requirements
- Certification is issued in the learner's name, not the employer's name
