Unique Student Identifier (USI)
Every student undertaking nationally recognised training in Australia must have a USI. It is free, takes minutes and lasts for life.
Why you need a USI
Without a valid USI we cannot issue your Statement of Attainment or qualification. Your USI links every nationally recognised course you complete, with any RTO, into one secure transcript.
Create your USI
- Go to usi.gov.au and select 'Create your USI'
- Have one form of ID ready: driver licence, Medicare card, passport or birth certificate
- Verify your details and record the USI somewhere safe
- Provide the USI to Zokal at enrolment or on the day
Already have one?
If you have studied at TAFE or any RTO since 2015, you probably already have a USI. Use the 'Forgotten USI' tool at usi.gov.au rather than creating a duplicate.
