What the day covers
CPCCWHS1001 is the entry requirement for construction work in NSW. We teach it the way it gets used on site — real hazards, real paperwork, real conversations with a supervisor.

- Where can I do White Card training in Newcastle?
- Zokal Safety Training delivers face-to-face White Card training at our facility at Friesian Business Centre Unit 4, 5 Friesian Close, Sandgate NSW 2304 — around 10 minutes from Newcastle CBD. We also run group sessions on your site across the Hunter region.
- Which unit of competency is the NSW White Card?
- CPCCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry. On successful completion you receive a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment, which is what SafeWork NSW recognises as your White Card.
- How long does White Card training take?
- One full day. Assessment happens during the day, so you finish with everything submitted.
- What do I need to bring?
- Photo identification (100 points of ID), enclosed work boots, long sleeves and long pants. Bring a hat and water if you have them. We supply all learning materials.
- Do I need a White Card before I start on site?
- Yes. Anyone carrying out construction work in NSW must hold general construction induction training before entering a construction site, including apprentices, labourers, supervisors and site visitors who work unsupervised.
- Is the White Card valid outside NSW?
- CPCCWHS1001 is a nationally recognised unit, so your Statement of Attainment is accepted in other states and territories, though some jurisdictions issue their own card. Check the local regulator if you are moving interstate.
