Course details
- Duration
- Approximately 4 hours (½ day).
- Class size
- Maximum 12 students per class.
- Prerequisites
- Current CPR (HLTAID009) is required.
- Equipment
- All training materials and PPE supplied by Zokal Safety Training. Includes airway adjuncts, oxygen therapy equipment and AEDs.
- Assessment
- Continuous assessment across theory and practical components. Written knowledge questions plus supervised practical demonstration against the national performance criteria.
- Recognition
- Nationally recognised Statement of Attainment issued under RTO 91267 on successful completion.
Learning outcomes
- Manage an unconscious casualty's airway with adjuncts
- Administer oxygen therapy
- Perform advanced CPR with a bag-valve-mask
