Course details

Duration
1 day face-to-face (approx. 8 hours), plus pre-course online learning.
Class size
Maximum 16 students per class.
Prerequisites
No prerequisites. Pre-course online learning may be issued prior to the practical day.
Equipment
All training materials and PPE supplied by Zokal Safety Training. Includes CPR manikins, AED trainers and first aid kits.
Assessment
Continuous assessment across theory and practical components. Written knowledge questions plus supervised practical demonstration against the national performance criteria.
Recognition
Nationally recognised Statement of Attainment issued under RTO 91267 on successful completion. HLTAID009 (CPR) requires annual recertification.

  • Recognise and respond to an emergency using DRSABCD
  • Perform CPR and use an AED
  • Manage bleeding, shock, burns and fractures
  • Complete incident documentation and handover
