Work Safely at Heights

For workers required to operate at height or depth, including performing a height rescue.

National Units of Competency

Codes verifiable on the national training.gov.au register.

Application and relevance

For anyone exposed to a fall from 2 m or more — construction, trades, utilities, telco and facility maintenance.

Includes a live suspended-worker rescue scenario.

Course details

Duration
1 day (approx. 8 hours).
Class size
Maximum 12 students per class.
Prerequisites
No prerequisites. Learners must be physically capable of the practical rescue tasks.
Equipment
All training materials and PPE supplied by Zokal Safety Training. Includes harnesses, lanyards, anchor points and rescue kit.
Assessment
Continuous assessment across theory and practical components. Written knowledge questions plus supervised practical demonstration against the national performance criteria.
Recognition
Nationally recognised Statement of Attainment issued under RTO 91267 on successful completion.

  • Inspect, select and fit fall-arrest equipment
